Prince Siddhartha's father had been told that his son would be a great spiritual or a religious leader and so he protected his son from all suffering and pain. When Prince Siddhartha grew up, he yearned to go out of the palace and see the outside world. One day, he summoned his servant to take him out of the palace grounds. That day he saw four important things that changed his life. He saw an old man, a dying man and then a dead man. Prince Siddhartha was taken aback by all this as he had not seen anything like this within the luxury of his home back at the palace
