The Christmas Story - Extract
Within a few minutes, the sky brightened up and one star in particular lit up the sky. Everyone looked up at the sky and it was
as if the wind sang songs and the green grass swayed with wonder. The sheep ran wild with excitement and the shepherds stood
still looking at the star in amazement. It was this sight that led the shepherds towards Bethlehem.
A few miles away, three wise men followed the star. They had heard prophesies of a new king and when they look at the shining star they knew that this was the sign they had been waiting for. It was this sight that led the wise men towards Bethlehem.
Back in the barn, Mary had her baby. It was sleeping on a bed of hay in the middle of a barn as Mary slept contently and Joseph rested. The angels guarded the baby and it was a strange sight for a new born king but when the shepherds came with the sheep and the wise men arrived with their gifts, they knew that all prophesies were right.
